Thomas Williams was born with the power to control and make fire with his bare hands. He was born with what doctors thought was a high fever and it wasn't dying down. He was in the hospital for 5 months before the doctors let him leave because he never had any fever symptoms. When Thomas was 15 his house caught on fire and his father Tyler Williams was killed in it. While Thomas was trying to save his mom from dying in the fire he was knocked into flames and his body was turned completely into flames. He passed out after saving his mom and was put in hospital for 2 months then sent to a apartment. After 6 months of being in the apartment and trying to find out how to use his powers he figured it out when a big plank of wood fell on his hand. he jerked his hand out in a flicking motion and his hand caught fire. He then eventually found out he could turn his whole body into flames, throw fireballs, fly, and that he had super strength and invincibility when he was on fire. later on he started getting better and better with his powers and defeating more and more villains when they came as the superhero Magma.
